Position: Sous Chef
Location: Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire LU7
Salary: £32,000 + Accommodation paid
Type: Specialising in fine dining traditional pub and restaurant

Our client is looking for a passionate and ambitious Sous Chef in Leighton Buzzard. This traditional pub and restaurant in Leighton Buzzard is a centuries-old inn full of charm and character, it boasts a wonderful gardens for summer, roaring fires in winter, always with a warm family friendly atmosphere accompanied with amazing food and drink. To join their team serving amazing fresh produce.
As Sous Chef, you’ll be supported in leading the kitchen team to deliver consistently excellent standards. If you would enjoy being part of a strong independent hotel company with a passion for great food then this is the right opportunity for you!
The Sous Chef will
• Work in a very fast-paced busy operation
• Ensure that all stocks are kept under optimum conditions.
• Ensure that all mise-en-place is always freshly prepared and on time.
• Ensure that all dishes are being prepared to the correct recipe and to the correct quantity.
• Take pride in producing beautifully elegant dishes to the highest standards possible
• Ensure that all dishes reach the hot plate or pass correctly garnished, the correct portion and size, presented
on the prescribed serving dish in the prescribed manner.
• Ensure that his/ her section is kept clean and tidy at all times.
• Ensure that junior cooks and trainees receive the right training and optimum guidance.
• Ensure that any anticipated shortages are communicated promptly to the Sous Chef or Head chef.
• Attend training courses and seminars as and when required.
• Strive to study in preparation for future advancement
• Ensure that all company rules and regulations relating to Hygiene, Health and Safety are being strictly adhered to and recorded correctly.
